I think we use the written word as a way to express our emotions.
People do not always know how to express their emotions, or do not have anyway to act upon their feelings, so they do the next best thing, they write, and get it out there, for the world to know.

Yes I agree. Great post only so much could be expressed with words at a given time. So many feeling could be left unvoiced without the written art of literature.
